I just had a baby a couple months ago but I have been a bigger, tall woman for a couple of years.I plan on exercising when I get the chance but right now my baby has colic and I can’t put him down so my only exercise is carring him in a baby sling.I really need some clothes right now,I am still wearing my maturnity clothes.

I work out for my health. When I work out it gives me more energy to make it throught the day. At first I had to force myself after my doctor told me I need to lose some weight. I don’t look heavy but because of my height it’s overweight and the doctor said thats what make me tired alot. I also have anemia.

Mary Jenkins Says:

I have always been into at least mild exercise as a form of weight maintnence and to keep my body from feeling stiff, but mostly because walking, swimming, dancing clears my mind and is fun!

As I approach 60, my body is shifting and with arthritis and a back problem it is hard to workout as in younger days. I find yoga to be a mild way to keep the muscles supple.

judy brittle Says:

I exercise because I have no choice. My job is very physical and I walk everywhere. So if anyone asks I just say of course I exercise. Thank you so much!

sfyates@iwon.com Says:

I love your clothes but most do not come in my size. I wish you would stock 5X pants and bras with a larger bottom band size. I buy shirts and shoes because I can’t get anything else that fits.
The new fall fashions are great because for so many years I had to wear bright colors since that was all that was available for large women.

Anita Yancey Says:

I exercise for health concerns. Because I have high blood pressure, as well as several other health concerns.
ayancey@dishmail.net

Marla Thomas Says:

I would love a new pair of pants.

Timpani Says:

I exercise for weight loss, and for the energy to keep up with my 5 year old and 2 year old!

Deanne Says:

I work out to lose weight, and I struggle through every moment of it! I have noticed that the older I get the more concern I have about risk factors though. I really need to change my mindset on this issue and recognize that exercise is a huge benefit to me in both regards.

Denise Malia Says:

I exercise primarily for my health, to build and maintain strength and stamina. Weight control is a secondary, but much appreciated benefit.

Barbara M Says:

I workout regularly.
It helps me feel so much better by reducing stress.

Hayley G. Says:

I try to exercise purely for health reasons but weight control is for sure a secondary motivation.

zoz Says:

Neither. I take walks several times every day because my dog (and my carpets) insist upon it!

Pat N Says:

I exercise for both, as well as to relieve stress & cheer me up.

Claudia Says:

Brenda S. Says:

I exercise for health concerns, I survived a stoke six years ago. Walking every day. Thank you.

Alicia Webster Says:

I don’t exercise for either weight loss or health reasons. I exercise for mobility. I am 39, I have three children who are all under the age of three, and I don’t drive. I never have–it just never interested me. So I get around on foot, pushing the double stroller, and carrying my youngest in the front carrier.

Tina Says:

I walk for weight loss.

Sharon Says:

I started out exercising to lose weight, but now exercise because I love the buzz from the joy of movement. Some days I can do higher intensity stuff like step or heavy weights, sometimes my knee is bothering me so I walk and do pilates/yoga. It’s all good :)

Valerie Says:

I guess I exercise for weight loss, but I’m very aware that it’s great for your health. I just do the treadmill and stretching. I really need to start using weights!!

Rosemarie Watkins Says:

I exercise primarily for health concerns, but weight is a one of those concerns. For me, though, weight loss is very slow (10 lbs/year) and not gaining weight and retaining muscle critical.

Sarah Watkins Says:

I am not trying to lose weight at this time in my life (too much job stress and family members’ ill health), so I just try to eat as healthfully as I can and exercise to help the stress!

Debbie B. Says:

I “need” to workout for health as well as weight loss - trying to get motivated to do what I must
I do have a treadmill that i use sometimes

Thomas Semesky Says:

I need to start excercising again.

LeeAnn P. Says:

I exercise for health benefits.

definitely both, my family has a history of different diseases, so i try to do everything i can to stay healthy. And if i’m going to be exercising i might as well try and lose some weight as well!

AMY BLANCHARD Says:

I EXERCISE BUT DEFINATLY NEED SOMETHING MORE FOR THIS UPHILL BATTLE!

Ellen McNatt Says:

I walk, but it is neither for weight loss or health. I like to watch the little animal all
around mt pkace and it gives me a time to think.
Let it be know, though that I am a very fat woman and with lots of health problems. I don’t walk far enough or fast enough to make any difference. Sorry, but that’s the truth,

Peggy Gorman Says:

I enjoy exercizing to lose weight and I don’t as much as I should. I never seem to have the time and by the end of the day I feel as if I have been excercising all day.

julie Says:

I take evening walks
3beez at bellsouth dot net

ndmom8@drtel.net Says:

I exercise daily–the walk to my mailbox to mail letters and back is several blocks long,–then I do the same walk to fetch the mail. I work in my garden and my garden is several blocks away from my house–if I need an onion or tomato or cucumber I run the trip again. And living on a farm I shovel grain bins–(want to help???)– I run out to feed animals, or other jobs–which is always several blocks to run it. I also love to dance–so I play dance songs for more exercise. I DO love candybars and desserts. If I dont have them in the house, I can finally lose some weight.

Amy Says:

I exercise for health benefits as well as mental health benefits. If I don’t practice yoga weekly and stretch every day I feel the effects of depression very strongly so exercise really does make a difference in my life.

Gianna Says:

I exercize because I like to.. it keeps me fit.

Ursula Correll Says:

I walk 3 miles a day for the quiet time to think, to keep my heart fit and to keep my weight off.

missdenise Says:

I exercise only to strengthen my muscles in my back. I have fibromyalgia so I need to keep my muscles strong.

Zoey Smith Says:

I exercise for both weight loss and health concerns. I am only about twenty pounds overweight, so it is not a huge problem. Additionally, I don’t have any health concerns. My exercise routine makes sure that both stay that way – GOOD.

Stacy Corder Says:

I exercise for how powerful I feel afterwards. I will never be stick-thin, nor do I ever want to be. We come in all sizes in shapes because life should be full of variety.

Tara Zarecky Says:

I exercise for weight loss and for health benefits. A walk in the morning gives me a lot more energy for the day.

Deb Says:

I’m a total slug. The only exercise I get is moving the mouse! I need motivation…

Tammy Kennedy Says:

I signed up for your email.
I really need to start exercising, all my family is into sports except me. I have put on so much weight since I stopped working. I have decided to start eating more healthy again and to start walking to improve my health and to look good as I’m going to be 50 on 11/18 so maybe after losing a few pounds I might be able to get into the sport activities with the rest of my family.
Thank you for a chance at maybe getting a new jogging suit with my prize.

Duvonshay Says:

I exercise for weight loss because I am out of shape and need to lose wieght in order fell better about myself.

Bonny S. Says:

Wow, we all could probably use a little more exercise. I don’t get alot, but I make sure I move to some degree. I keep telling my husband we need to get a treadmill. He just doesn’t want to spend the money on it. I wish I could just win one! Wouldn’t that be awesome?

Laura Cutshall Says:

I haven’t gotten to the point of “exercise” yet - I’m trying to be more active because of my health, which will eventually help with my weight. At 30, I have a chance to avoid a world of health problems if I stop spending the majority of my time sitting down.

Carole Says:

I do exercises in water 3 days per week for an hour- less stress on the bones but good for the heart and burning calories.

Charlene Kuser Says:

I exercise for weight loss and I do it by walking.
I walk everyday with a friend. We try to walk a mile. That is our goal. Thanks for the contest

Lily Kwan Says:

I exercise for health reasons.
